How long should the light be on?

6 to 8 hours a day for most planted tanks; longer feeds algae. A timer keeps it consistent.

Which light fits my tank?

Clip-ons suit tanks up to about 5 gallons with an open rim. Bracket lights are sold by tank length. Submersible bars mount inside with suction cups.
