DaToo Mini Aquarium Heater 25W, Preset 78°F
from $7.99 4.4 · 6,055 ratingsThe DaToo heater most betta keepers start with: a 25 W quartz tube that holds the water at 78°F with nothing to set. The light is red while it heats and green once it's there, and a stick-on thermometer is in the box.
Selected: 25 W · ships from the store
It must sit fully under water; place it near the filter outflow so warm water spreads instead of pooling at one end.

- Red light heating, green light at temperature
- Rubber seal and explosion-proof quartz glass
- For 1–6 gallon glass or acrylic tanks

Why a preset mini heater
A small tank changes temperature fast — a cold night can drop a 3-gallon tank several degrees. A preset heater removes the guesswork: the chip switches the element on below 78°F and off at 78°F, all day. There is no dial to knock or set wrong, which is exactly what most first betta tanks need.
The tube is about the width of a finger, so it hides behind a plant or in a back corner. The rubber seal is what keeps water out of the electronics — the weak point of cheap plastic-capped heaters.
Choosing a size
Use the 25 W model for 1 to 6 gallons. For bigger tanks the same design comes in 100, 150, 200 and 300 W; as a rule of thumb, allow about 3 to 5 watts per gallon in a heated room.
